Kenya’s national football team Harambee Stars ended their 33 year wait of beating Lesotho after trouncing the South African team 4-0 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium, South Africa on Sunday, June 7th, 2026.
Kenya grabbed their first win against Lesotho since Saturday, 24 April 1993, when Kenya ran out 3-0 winners, with the other three encounters ended in draws, including the most recent one on Thursday.
The result ensured Kenya finished the two-legged friendly series unbeaten, collecting four points from the two encounters.
Mohammed Bajaber and Lawrence Okoth had an afternoon to remember as their braces inspired Harambee Stars to the convincing victory.
In the absence of several senior players, the duo stepped up to ensure that Stars returned to winning ways, having laboured for a 1-1 draw against the same opponent last Thursday.
