Naibois Out To Keep Winning Run Against Sharks
Nairobi United will be looking to make it four wins in a row in the Sportpesa League as they take on Kariobangi Sharks in a thrilling contest set for tommorow, May 10th at Police Sacco Stadium kick off 2 P.M.
The Naibois head into the match on a brilliant run of form, they remain unbeaten in their last seven Sportpesa League encounters, winning four and drawing three. They have won all their last three matches in the league against Muranga Seal, Mathare United and Tusker F.C.
Kariobangi Sharks will be hoping to keep their chances of survival alive as they bid to remain in Kenyan’s top-tier league after ten consecutive seasons, having been promoted in 2017. They drew 0_0 in their last league encounter against fellow relegation strugglers Bidco United.
In the last league match between the two Nairobi based clubs, Naibois emerged victorious winning 4_2 in a pulsating contest played at the Dandora Stadium.
Frankline Amollo gave Sharks the lead in the 1st minute, before Micheal Karamor headed in the equalizer in the 9th minute. Lesley Otieno made it 2_1 in the 33rd minute before Enock Machaka added another goal in the 41st minute to give Naibois a 3_1 lead at the break. Micheal Karamor completed his brace in 57th minute before Humphrey Aroko scored from a freekick in the 67th minute to make it 4_2.
Speaking ahead of the match, Nairobi United Assistant Coach Boniface Omondi expressed confidence in getting the job done. “We have had good preparations ahead of the match against Kariobangi Sharks tommorow. We are sure the boys are well prepared and ready for the match.”
Vice Captain Lesley Otieno who will be coming up against his former side is expecting a tough contest. “Kariobangi Sharks are a very good side, they are a team that plays more like us. Am expecting a good contest tommorow, we will do everything to get all the three points.”
