History has been made in the Kenya National Super League! Migori Youth FC have officially been crowned the 2025/2026 NSL Champions, sealing their dream promotion to the Kenya Premier League (KPL) in magnificent style.
In a high-stakes, fierce encounter on Sunday, Migori Youth delivered a statement win when it mattered most, fighting off a resilient Equity FC to secure a thrilling 2-1 victory.

The atmosphere was electric as Migori Youth took to the Awendo Green Stadium knowing that football immortality awaited them.
Vincent Wanga set the stadium alight by slotting home the opening goal in the opening stanza, putting the leaders in the driving seat. Equity FC, who have enjoyed an impressive campaign sitting fourth in the standings, fought back stubbornly to stay in the contest.
However, big games require big players. In the second half, John Juma Ogada rose to the occasion, firing home a dramatic winning goal to secure the three precious points. The final whistle triggered wild celebrations as players, technical staff, and fans realized the grand prize was theirs: Migori Youth are mathematically untouchable at the top of the table with 80 points, an unassailable 4-point lead with just one round left to play.

3K FC sits comfortably in 2nd place with 76 points after their walkover win, while Mombasa United FC remains hot on their heels in 3rd place with 75 points.
The final matchday will decide who gains automatic entry alongside Migori and who will have to brave the promotion play-offs.
While there is unbridled joy at the top, football can be incredibly cruel. With 37 games played and only one round remaining, the bottom four slots have been mathematically locked, sealing the relegation of four teams to the FKF Division One League next season.
1. Kisumu Allstars (17th – 36 pts). Despite a fighting spirit, their 2-1 defeat to Darajani Gogo finalized their drop.
2. Darajani Gogo (18th – 35 pts). A bittersweet Sunday for Gogo; they won the battle on the pitch but ultimately lost the war against survival.
3. Vihiga United (19th – 30 pts). A tough season compounded by a devastating 6-point and 4-goal deduction for a home walkover against Nairobi City Stars left them completely stranded in the drop zone.
4. Mwatate United (20th – 25 pts). Handing a walkover to 3K FC on Sunday was a grim reflection of a deeply challenging campaign that sees them finish at the bottom of the pile.
With only one round of fixtures left to play, the champions can lift their trophy in peace, while the remaining teams fight for pride, placement, and that coveted final KPL promotion ticket.
