In a move to accommodate a surge in global interest, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced an extension of the media accreditation window for the upcoming TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
Media representatives now have until Monday, October 20, 2025, to submit their applications, a decision spurred by the unprecedented demand from journalists and media professionals worldwide.
Recognizing the need for additional support, CAF has deployed extra resources and personnel to assist those encountering difficulties with their accreditation applications or accessing media services.
A dedicated media services planning desk has been set up at the Main Media Centre in Rabat, ensuring that all media inquiries are addressed efficiently. This initiative aims to enhance the overall experience for media representatives covering what promises to be a thrilling tournament.
To successfully apply for accreditation, candidates must adhere to specific requirements. They need to possess an active account on the CAF Media Channel and be verified professionals—journalists, photographers, or other media practitioners—affiliated with recognized media organizations.
A valid press card or an official letter of assignment is essential, along with a copy of a valid passport for international applicants. Notably, media professionals based in Morocco may alternatively submit either a valid Moroccan national ID card or a passport, a concession exclusive to those residing in the host country.
Applicants are required to upload a recent, high-quality passport-style photograph and ensure that all provided information is accurate and complete; any incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications will be immediately rejected. Furthermore, once the accreditation window closes, no further applications will be accepted, emphasizing the importance of timely and correct submissions.
While CAF aims to support all applicants, it clarifies that accreditation will not be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. All applications will be subjected to a thorough approval process, and successful candidates will receive detailed guidelines in due time.
As excitement builds for the Africa Cup of Nations, the extension of the media accreditation deadline underscores CAF’s commitment to an inclusive and well-organized event, paving the way for robust media coverage of this prestigious tournament set to showcase the best of African football.
