NAIROBI, Kenya – Nairobi United FC left-back Mustafa Kizza will once again demonstrate the power of football when he leads Kizza and Friends in a high-profile Uganda-Kenya charity match against Victor Wanyama and Macdonald Mariga and Friends on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Nyayo National Stadium.
Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m., with free entry for fans, who will have the opportunity to watch some of East Africa’s biggest football stars while supporting a noble cause.
The charity fixture, supported by Mustafa Kizza, Victor Wanyama Foundation, NUEF Technology, and the Victor Wanyama Academy, aims to raise funds for community initiatives that support vulnerable members of society through education, health, and other social empowerment programmes.
Kizza’s side will face a star-studded team assembled by Football Kenya Federation Vice President Macdonald Mariga and his brother, former Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama. The match is expected to feature several current and former football stars from both Uganda and Kenya, making it one of the region’s most anticipated charity football events.

The fixture also reunites close friends Kizza and Wanyama, whose friendship dates back to their time together at CF Montréal in Major League Soccer (MLS). Kizza joined the Canadian club from Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) FC, while Wanyama arrived from Tottenham Hotspur, with the pair sharing the dressing room during their spell in Canada.
The Nairobi United defender has become increasingly recognised for using football to give back to the community. Earlier this month, Kizza organised a similar charity match in his hometown of Kampala, Uganda, bringing together football personalities to raise funds for charitable causes.
On the field, the Ugandan international enjoyed an outstanding campaign with Nairobi United FC during the just-concluded season. Equally effective as a left-back or wing-back, Kizza established himself as one of the league’s most dangerous attacking defenders, combining explosive pace with pinpoint crosses, quality set-piece deliveries, and a relentless work rate that consistently troubled opposition defences.
Saturday’s clash promises to showcase not only the rich football talent shared between Uganda and Kenya but also the strong bond between players from the two neighbouring nations. More importantly, it highlights the growing role football continues to play in driving positive social change across East Africa.
With free admission and a host of renowned football personalities expected to grace Nyayo National Stadium, supporters can look forward to an entertaining afternoon where every cheer will contribute towards changing lives beyond the game.
