Best Artist in Eastern Africa award winner Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza has celebrated after Arsenal F.C. were crowned English Premier League champions for the first time in 22 years.
The singer shared his excitement online on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, shortly after Arsenal sealed the title. The club finished top of the table after Manchester City drew 1-1 against Bournemouth.
“Champions, and today the prophecy has come to pass. The best is yet to come. LEO SILALIIIIIIIIII,” Bien said.
The musician, who is a known Arsenal supporter, joined in the celebrations after the club finally ended its long wait for the league title. Arsenal had finished second in the past three seasons before finally getting over the line this year.
The Gunners spent much of the season at the top of the table. Their title hopes looked under pressure in April after a 2-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. However, Mikel Arteta’s side recovered strongly and stayed ahead to seal the championship.
Celebration after long wait
Another reaction came from media personality Willis Raburu, who admitted that despite being a Manchester United supporter and Arsenal critic, he had to give credit to the new champions.
“It’s been a ride of hate and love, and of football. Honour where it’s due! Congratulations Arsenal. For the first time in over two decades! Come On You Gunners! It pains me, but it’s football! It’s Sports, and it’s your time. Enjoy!” Willis Raburu said.
Arsenal’s title victory marks the club’s first Premier League triumph since the famous Invincibles team of the 2003/04 season. That squad went through the entire league campaign unbeaten and remains one of the most celebrated teams in English football history.
This season’s success also comes after years of rebuilding under manager Mikel Arteta. Arsenal managed to hold off strong pressure from Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City side in the final weeks of the campaign.
After waiting 22 years for another Premier League title, Arsenal supporters are expected to enjoy a massive day of celebration. Many fans will proudly wear their club colours as they finally celebrate ending the long wait and seeing the Gunners return to the top of English football.
