FKF secures new sponsorship deal with Cape Media for NSL and WPL league

Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has today, Tuesday 21 April 2026, inked a new sponsorship deal with Cape Media.

Cape Media, the parent company of TV47 and Radio47, will inject KSh 4.75 million into FKF to boost the National Super League (NSL) and the Women’s Premier League (WPL).

Under the new agreement, KSh 1.8 million has been allocated to six selected NSL clubs as part of efforts to boost competitiveness and strengthen the league. Each of the six clubs will receive KSh 300,000.

The beneficiaries in the NSL include Luanda Villa, Vihiga United, Gucha Stars, Darajani Gogo, Kabati Youth, and Mwatate United.

In addition, the Women’s Premier League will receive a total of KSh 2.95 million. Each of the 12 participating clubs will receive KSh 100,000 in direct grants aimed at supporting operations and development. The league champions will also take home KSh 1 million.

The move is expected to inject fresh momentum into both the National Super League (NSL) and the FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL), providing much-needed financial support to clubs competing in the country’s second-tier men’s league and top-flight women’s competition.

The partnership will see funds directly disbursed to clubs for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

FKF lauded Cape Media for the timely intervention, describing the sponsorship as a strong vote of confidence in the growth potential of Kenyan football.

The Federation also called on more corporate partners to come on board and support efforts to build a sustainable football ecosystem, as the country continues to push for greater development and professionalism in the sport.
