Muhammad Kanyike gave Mbarara City the lead before Daniel Jakony levelled matters in the 73rd minute for the cops. Substitute Paul Mark Teny who had replaced Lawrence Tezikya at the start of the second half got a late winner.

The result means Mbarara City remain winless in seven games and having managed just one victory that came against bottom placed Calvary back in February in the last twelve games.

The results helps Uganda Police to snap a two-game winless run that had seen them lose to Express and NEC and thus remain seventh on the pile with 37 points.
