Array of former European stars will be on duty for side Raja Casablanca against Kenya’s Nairobi United as the Moroccan side comes to play in the Kenyan capital in a CAF Confederation Cup fixture this Sunday, February 8, 2026.
Former Chelsea and Ajax hotshot Hakim Ziyech and ex-Sevilla and France international Wissam Ben Yedder are among the household stars that will feature.
The pair have been named in the team travelling squad for Nairobi, Kenya, for their crucial CAF Confederation Cup Group B match against Nairobi United.
The clash at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, will also see other stars in the team ranks, such as their captain Noordin Amrabat who featured for the Netherlands under 21 team and other European clubs including Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, Turkey’s Galatasaray and Spanish La Liga team Malaga.
Amine Benhachem’s team is aiming to maintain their perfect record in the group. The Moroccans remain unbeaten in the group that also has Azam FC and AS Maniema.
They previously beat Nairobi United 3-0 in the reverse fixture on November 23, 2025.
Benhachem spoke highly of Kenyans’ passion for the game, borrowing from the events witnessed during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), which was won by Morocco.
“What we saw in CHAN was really motivating. Knowing that Morocco only lost against Kenya, the atmosphere proves that Kenya population loves football. I am really honoured to be among the people and here for the game,” he stated.
