Match Summary

Wydad Casablanca began their TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage with a commanding 3–0 victory over debutants Nairobi United.

The Moroccan side took an early lead just three minutes into the match when Ayoub Boucheta scored after a well-executed attack. Wydad doubled their advantage just before halftime, with Mohamed Bouchouari finishing a flowing move in the 44th minute.

After the break, Nairobi United showed some resilience but struggled to create chances against Wydad’s solid defense. A yellow card for Boniface Mzee in the 72nd minute highlighted their frustrations.

With four minutes remaining, substitute Mohamed Rayhi sealed the win with a third goal, highlighting Wydad's superiority on the night. This victory places Wydad at the top of Group B after Matchday 1, ahead of Maniema Union on goal difference. Meanwhile, Zamalek edged ZESCO United 1–0 thanks to a goal from Seifeddine Jaziri in the 42nd minute.
