Ugandan Hakim Kiwanuka Strike Earns Rwanda Premier League Champions APR Victory

A lone strike by Ugandan striker Hakim Kiwanuka secured APR  a hard-fought Rwanda Premier League victory over AS Muhanga at Kigali Pelé Stadium on Sunday, April 5th, 2026.

The reigning champions now sit second on the table with 52 points on the 2025/26 Rwanda Premier League, two points behind leaders Al Hilal.

Kiwanuka signed from 17 times Uganda Premier League champions Sports Club Villa netted the decisive goal in the 23rd minute, earning the military side crucial points in a tightly contested encounter.

Gorilla FC 2 Musanze 1

In another fixture, Gorilla FC fought from a goal down to edge out Musanze 2-1 to maintain their 11th place in the league.

Christivie Bioko gave Musanze FC the lead in the 33rd minute, but Gorilla FC responded strongly, with goals from Chancellor Ndong in the 44th minute and Traoré Khalifa in the 66th minute to secure an important 2-1 comeback victory.
