Kenyan Premier League side Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB FC) whipped Zetech Titans FC 4-0 tosecure a place in the Round of 16 of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Mozzart Bet Cup at Embu Stadium on Saturday, March 7th, 2026.
Goals from Boniface Omondi, who grabbed a brace, Richard Omondi and Nigerian cum Djiboutian striker Samuel Feargod ensured the Bankers progressed to the next round.
It was historic day for Feargod who netted his maiden goal for KCB since joining the club last month from South Sudanese side El Merriekh Bentiu.
With their latest victory in Embu, KCB will once again dare to dream of lifting the elusive cup and possibly securing a ticket to represent Kenya on the continental stage in the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the last three editions of the Cup competition, KCB have experienced mixed fortunes; their best campaign came in 2024 when they reached the final after eliminating MOFA, Bidco United, Kakamega Homeboyz and Kariobangi Sharks, only to fall to Kenya Police on penalties after a goalless draw.
In the 2023 tournament, they were knocked out in the Round of 16 by Bidco United following a penalty shootout, while in the 2025 edition, their journey ended against eventual champions Nairobi United.

A double each by the Odiambo duo of Paul and Edward, as well as a goal apiece from Bill Okite, Stephen Nyongesa and Kenya’s international Boniface Muchiri, catapulted the soldiers into the next round in pursuit of their maiden Mozzart Bet Cup title
Ulinzi had previously advanced to the round of 32 courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Kamel Park Rangers in the round of 64, while Zoo secured a 5-0 win over Bondeni FC.

Two times FKF Cup champions Bandari FC pipped fellow Coastal outfit Bumbani Stars 2-1 at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Sports Club, Mbaraki in Mombasa to advance to the Round of 16
The Dockers wasted little time asserting their authority in the Coast derby, striking early through Amza Moubarack in the seventh minute to seize control of the match.
Amza Moubarack capitalised on a defensive lapse to calmly slot past the Bumbani goalkeeper in the 7th minute, setting the tone for the dockers before schoolboy sensation Erisat Orute doubled the advantage in the second minute of added time.

At Moi Stadium, Embu, regional league side Denmak FC 4-0 which gained prominence by knocking out Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia in the 2024 Mozzart Bet Cup were eliminated by FKF National Super League team 3K FC
Mark Kithome bagged a brace, while Afande Kendrick and Alex Keke also found the back of the net in a one-sided contest.

At Eldoret ASK Grounds, Payai Arok scored a lone goal to enable Mfalme FC also book their place in the next round by edging out Wisdom Soccer Academy 1-0.
Tusker 2 Bidco 0
Tusker FC beat fellow premier league side Bidco United to emerge as the first team to booked the first spot of the Mozzart Bet Cup round of 16 a in a round 32 tie played on Friday 6 March at the Police Sacco Stadium in Nairobi.
The brewers opened the scores through Eric Kapaito after looping a ball behind the Bidco defence and into Ghanaian striker Bless Bakai’s path to net the ball it home to break the deadlock.
After 1-0 lead at the break, in the 50th minute Stephen Etyang was through on goal for the second after a brilliant link up play between Kapaito amd Thomas Omolle.
With Tusker head coach Julien Mette already throwing in the towel in the FKF Premier League title race, the cup is Tusker’s only hope for the title and continental football.
The Brewers qualified to the round of 32 by beating Division I outfit Mwea United 3-2 Wang’utu Stadium in February while Bidco United beat Naivasha Police.
Saturday’s results saw several top-tier clubs advance in the knockout competition, with Bandari joining Tusker, KCB, Kenya Police, Shabana and Ulinzi Stars among the sides safely through to the Round of 16.
