SC Villa pip Maroons to Reduce Vipers Lead at the Top of Uganda Premier League

Seventeen times Uganda Premier League champions Sports Club Villa edged out Maroons 2-0  to move closer to the top of the League table at FUFA Kadiba Stadium.

Frank Ssebufu and substitute Andrew Otim scored a goal each to guide the Jogoos to victory against the Ugandan Prison officers.

Ssebufu scored just two minutes after kickoff while Otim, who replaced the former, headed home in the third minute of the four added to seal all three points.

The result takes SC Villa to fourth place on 34 points, four points behind defending champions and league leaders Vipers  while Maroons remain ninth on 18 points.
