Kenneth Muguna a former captain of Kenya’s record national football champions Gor Mahia was on the scoresheet for his new Botswana club Sua Flamingos in their 3-2 victory over Gaborone United in a Botswana Premier League match played on Saturday, 14 February 2026.
Muguna stepped up in the 90th minute to score the winner for Flamingos, whom he joined in January from Gaborone-based club Township Rollers.
Sua Flamingos took a 2-1 lead into halftime before Gaborone United levelled matters in the 55th minute. Then when the game seemingly heading for a draw, the former Gor Mahia midfielder scored the winning goal.
With the win, Flamingos moved to fourth place with 35 points, while Gaborone dropped to second on 44 points, level with Jwaneng Galaxy, who lead the table on superior goal difference.
In the CAF Champions League, Kenya’s national team centre-forward Moses Shummah started for Power Dynamos and played 64 minutes before being substituted as the Zambian side lost 3-1 to Egyptian outfit Pyramids FC.
Power Dynamos finished third in Group A with seven points, as Pyramids and RS Berkane qualified for the quarter finals.
Former AFC Leopards goalkeeper Levis Opiyo was also in goal for ZESCO United in their 2-0 loss to Egyptian side Al Masry SC in the CAF Confederation Cup. Zesco ended their Confederation Cup campaign with three points, as Al Masry SC and Zamalek SC progressed to the quarter finals.
In South Africa, Harambee Stars goalkeeper Ian Otieno played the full match as Richards Bay suffered a 3-0 defeat to Chippa United in the top flight
Meanwhile, Brian Bwire was an unused substitute for Polokwane City in their goalless draw with Siwelele FC. Polokwane are seventh on the log with 25 points, while Richards Bay sit 10th with 19 points.
