SportPesa League title hopefuls AFC Leopards squandered a golden opportunity to close the gap on arch-rivals Gor Mahia in their pursuit of a 13th league crown and an end to a 28-year title drought stretching back to 1998.
Ingwe were denied the chance after playing to a barren draw by two times FKF Cup winners Bandari at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) Sports Club at Mbaraki in Mombasa.
The draw denied AFC Leopards a prime chance to apply pressure on Gor Mahia, who now retains a three-point cushion ahead of their clash against APS Bomet.
Bandari, meanwhile, extended their winless run to two matches, a setback in their own pursuit of the summit.
The result moves AFC Leopards to 37 points, keeping them in second place, but they now sit three points adrift of leaders Gor Mahia with a game in hand though.
For Bandari, the point is a consolation after a controversial loss to Shabana in their last match and moves them to 29 points on the log.

Bidco United 1 Kakamega Homeboyz 4
Earlier, the 2023 FKF Cup champions Kakamega Homeboyz, put on their best performance of the year, walloping Bidco United 4–1 at St. Sebastian Park in another SporPesa Kenyan Premier League encounter, staged on Friday, February 13th, 2026 afternoon.
Chasing an elusive first-ever league crown, the victory was a fitting tribute to their departed defender, Silas Abungana, as the visitors secured three vital points away.
The win catapults Patrick Odhiambo’s men to third place in the SportPesa League standings, firmly establishing them as serious title contenders while leaving the hosts rooted in the relegation zone.
Goals from Rodgers Ouma, Henry Omollo, Glen Masava and substitute Zinedine Wesonga sealed the win and tightened the screws in the title race, reducing the deficit to league leaders Gor Mahia to just nine points.
On the opposite end, Bidco, languishing near the foot of the table, just two points above Sofapaka and winless in 14 matches, were desperate to breathe life into a season spiraling toward relegation danger.
For Bidco United who are the 2021 FKF Cup third placed finishers , the nightmare deepens. A 15th consecutive match without victory leaves them entrenched in the relegation dogfight.
Posta Rangers 0 Shabana 2
Kenya’s representatives in the Africa Cup Winners’ Cup in 1988 Shabana beat Posta Rangers at Wang’uru Stadium on Saturday.
Congolese striker Mambote Batshi Assis making his debut for Tore Bobe was on the mark with the first goal and a clinical second-half finish from Brian Michira propelled Shabana FC to collect maximum points.
With this 2-0 triumph, Shabana climbs to 3rd place with 34 points and firmly into the title charge conversation.
Posta Rangers drop to 12th following other results, extending their winless run to eight matches.
Mathare United 3 Tusker 1
Elsewhere, at Police Sacco in Nairobi, Mathare United overturned a goal deficit to defeat former league champions Tusker FC 3-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Eric Kapaito broke the deadlock in the 39th minute for the brewers before Dennis Okoth turned the tides in the second half with the leveller and then Isaac Omweri gave the slum boys the lead and Okoth made it game over with his brace.
The result is a significant blow to Tusker FC, who remain stuck on 28 points, missing the chance to go fourth had they won the match. Mathare United moves up to 25 points, pulling further away from the relegation scrap and moving into the mid-table now placed at 10th.
