Thirteen times Uganda Premier League champions Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) started their second leg title chase campaign on a losing note.
KCCA a two times Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) club champions suffered a 3-1 defeat to the 2023–24 Uganda Premier League winners National Enterprise Corporation FC (NEC) on Friday, February 13th, 2026 at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
NEC’s new recruit signed in mid season transfer from seven times Uganda Premier League champions Express FC Richard Basangwa started the leagues second leg campaign on a high note by bagging a brace.
Kigezi HomeBoyz FC All-Time Leading Goal Scorer Joseph Sseremba completed the score for NEC by adding the other goal. Ivan Ahimbisibwe got the consolation for the visitors.
The result means KCCA stay fifth on the table with 30 points, seven behind leaders Vipers while NEC move up to 7th place on 23 points.
The two teams will return to action next week with NEC making a short trip to Kitende to face league Vipers on Tuesday while wounded KCCA will be at home to BUL.
