Kampala Arena Set to Explode as Futsal Uganda Cup Drama Continues

The ”Old Kampala Futsal Arena” is braced for a high-octane Friday night as Match Day II of the Futsal Uganda Cup Quarterfinal Qualifiers kicks off on February 13, 2026. With the competition narrowing, the stakes have shifted from mere participation to survival in one of the region’s most fast-paced indoor tournaments.

The night is headlined by a heavyweight clash in the men’s qualifiers and a pivotal moment for the burgeoning women’s game.

In the inaugural Women’s Futsal Uganda Cup, Edgars Youth Programme faces a massive litmus test against Kisenyi FC. Edgars arrive in fine form following a clinical 5–2 comeback victory earlier this month, but history favors their opponents.
Kisenyi FC has long been a tactical “bogey team” for Edgars, and this match will likely be decided by whether Edgars’ aggressive high-press can break down Kisenyi’s disciplined build-up play.

Elsewhere in the women’s bracket, Mbarara QC takes on Kabowa Dream Team. While Kabowa has gained a reputation for dramatic, last-minute goals in the men’s division, their women’s side is eager to establish its own dominance.

Mbarara QC’s defensive organization remains their greatest asset, setting the stage for a classic “offense vs. defense” encounter.

In a feature Match, Mengo City is set to take on Nansana ASKA
This is expected to be the most anticipated fixture of the night which sees league leaders Mengo City take on the unpredictable Nansana ASKA.

Mengo City enters the arena as the favorites, bolstered by the scoring prowess of Joshua Aziku. However, Nansana ASKA has historically been a thorn in Mengo’s side, often neutralizing their star power with a lethal counter-attacking system. For Nansana, this is more than a qualifier—it is a chance to disrupt the hierarchy of Ugandan futsal.

For fans in the capital, entry is priced at 3,000 UGX. Under the floodlights of Old Kampala, the margins for error are non-existent. In knockout futsal, one defensive lapse or one moment of brilliance is all it takes to decide a season.
