Former English Premier League (EPL) champions Leicester have completed a late loan for Manchester City teenager Divine Mukasa until the end of the season.
Leicester interim boss Andy King confirmed interest in the player on Saturday after the 2-0 loss to Charlton: “He [Mukasa] is a very promising young player.
“It’s something the club have been trying to pursue. If we can get him, that’s great news.
“We’ve seen a lot of him and we rate him very highly.”
Mukasa has broken into the City first team this season, making six appearances. He made his senior debut in September, teeing up Phil Foden in a Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield, and has since made six appearances under Pep Guardiola.

At Under-21 level this season, he has scored seven goals in 13 outings and across the Under-18 Premier League, UEFA Youth League and FA Youth.
Born in the United Kingdom to a Ugandan father Sam Mukasa and Laima Mukasa a Lithuanian mother, Mukasa has already represented England at youth level from the U-15s to the U-20s. However, he remains eligible to play for three nations—England, Uganda or Lithuania—making his international future one to watch..
With his Ugandan heritage, Mukasa remains eligible to represent Uganda, having not yet made an appearance for England’s senior team.
Mukasa has won the English Youth FA Cup twice on successive seasons in the 2022-2023 season with West Ham United and the subsequent 2023-2024 season with Manchester City.
