Thirteen times Uganda Super League champions Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) ended their two match winning drought on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 after thrashing Uganda Peoples’ Defense Force Football Club (UPDF FC)in Uganda Premier League fixture at MTN-Omondi Stadium, Lugogo.
The Kasasiro Boys had not won in their last two games, losing 2-0 to Police and drawing against Maroons FC.
KCCA take an early lead through Sammy Ssebaduka, who tapped Herbert Achayi’s cross home in the 11th minute before midfielder Joel Sserunjogi doubled the lead from a penalty after UPDF defender Edward Saturo brought down Shafik Nana Kwikiriza in the box for the referee to point at the spot.
Ssebaduka got his second and KCCA’s third of the day in the 51st minute before second half substitue Alpha Ssali, who had come in for Ssebaduka in the 75th minute, completed the rout with a stoppage time goal which was his first goal in KCCA colours.
The win lifted KCCA FC to second place on 29 points, one point behind leaders Vipers, while UPDF drop second from bottom on eleven points.
