CAF and PUMA Unveil Special Edition ITRI Match Ball for AFCON 2025 Final

The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), in partnership with technical sponsor PUMA, has unveiled a special commemorative edition of the Official Match Ball, ITRI, ahead of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 final.

The showpiece final will be played on Sunday at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdellah, where hosts Morocco face defending champions Senegal in a highly anticipated clash set for kick-off at 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT). One of Africa’s footballing giants will be crowned continental champions on the night.

To mark the occasion, the final will be played using a unique version of the ITRI match ball, distinguished by elegant gold accents designed as a tribute to the two finalist nations and the prestige of the AFCON final.

The ITRI ball, which has been used throughout the tournament, features a striking visual identity inspired by traditional Moroccan *zellij* geometric patterns. Its design incorporates central star geometry, floral petal outlines and circular symmetry, reflecting Morocco’s rich artistic heritage and cultural symbolism.

Engineered using PUMA’s advanced Orbita 6 technology, the ball combines precision, balance and durability required for elite-level football. The design seamlessly blends modern innovation with African heritage, reinforcing CAF and PUMA’s commitment to celebrating culture while delivering world-class performance.

The special edition ball will take centre stage as Morocco and Senegal battle for continental glory in what promises to be a memorable AFCON 2025 final.
