FIFA Approves 25 Referees to officiate International Matches in 2026 Season

Uganda will once again be represented across different refereeing categories at the international stage,  to officiate at FIFA and CAF competitions during the 2026 football season.

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has received official confirmation that Ugandan match officials have been included on the FIFA Refereeing International Lists for 2026.

Eight are center referees. Uganda’s leading female referee Shamirah Nabadda, now at the 2025 AFCON tournament maintains her FIFA status who previously officiated in the 2024 at the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Dominican Republic.

Others are Lucky Razake Kasalirwe, Dick Okello, Diana Murungi, William Oloya, Josephine Nantongo, Joshua Duula and George Olemu.

Dick Okello previously held the FIFA Badge as an assistant before he decided to be a center referee.

Eleveen are assistant referees to include the tried and tested Ronald Katenya.

Others are Immaculate Ongiera, Emmanuel Okudra, Elizabeth Nassolo, Hakim Mulindwa, Jane Mutonyi, Brainson Musisi, Lydia Wanyama Nantabo, Ashraf Katerega, Babrah Nayebare and Ashraf Magoola.

There are two Futsal referees; Brian Emmy Nsubuga and Isaac Sengendo.

Assistant Referees:  Ronald Katenya, Immaculate Ongiera, Emmanuel Okudra, Elizabeth Nassolo, Hakim Mulindwa, Jane Mutonyi, Brainson Musisi, Lydia Wanyama Nantabo, Ashraf Katerega, Babrah Nayebare, Ashraf Magoola.

Futsal Referees: Brian Emmy Nsubuga, Isaac Sengendo
