Harambee Stars Captain Michael Olunga Extends League Goal Drought

Kenya’s national football team Harambee Stars captain Michael Olunga saw his goal drought in the Qatar Stars League stretch to a month last weekend.

Olunga who plays for  Al Arabi failed to score against Al Rayyan at Al Thumama Stadium, but for the third consecutive match as the fixture ended in a 2-2 stalemate on Sunday, December 28th, 2025.

Olunga,  last scored in the Qatar Stars League on November 29, 2025 in a 4-3 victory over Al Khor.

The Kenya’s national football team played the full 90 minutes managed a shot on target, that hit the woodwork to fail in breaking his scoring lame duck .

Olunga’s  goal tally so far this season is six league goals from nine appearances and seven across all competitions from ten matches.
