Overall, this is their fourth meeting, including two friendlies.

Burkina Faso claimed the only win between the sides: a 1-0 friendly victory in 2011.

Their most recent clash ended 0-0 in October 2023.

Burkina Faso have never conceded a goal against Equatorial Guinea.

Stallions head coach Brama Traoré was part of the technical bench during their 2015 AFCON meeting.

Algeria and Sudan meet for the first time at AFCON, renewing a rivalry that has intensified in recent years.

This is their ninth overall meeting, with Algeria unbeaten in open play (4 wins, 4 draws).

They faced each other twice in 2025:

CHAN quarter-finals: 1-1 draw, Sudan won on penalties

FIFA Arab Cup: 0-0 draw in Qatar

Algeria also defeated Sudan 4-0 at the 2021 Arab Cup, eventually lifting the trophy.

Sudan have yet to defeat Algeria in regulation time.

Côte d’Ivoire vs Mozambique

Côte d’Ivoire begin their Group F journey against a familiar opponent in Mozambique.

The sides have met twice at AFCON (1986, 1996), with Ivory Coast winning both.
