KONAMI Announced As The Official Gaming Sponsor For AFCON 2025

CAF and KONAMI announce agreement making KONAMI the Official Gaming Sponsor of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations 2025 and 2027

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) and KONAMI Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd (KONAMI), the world’s leading interactive entertainment companies, have finalized an agreement designating KONAMI as the Official Gaming Sponsor of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) for both the 2025 and 2027 tournaments.

Under this partnership, KONAMI gains exclusive gaming rights to recreate the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON within its globally acclaimed football video game, eFootball™.

CAF General Secretary Véron Mosengo-Omba stated: “The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will be one of the most exciting and widely watched editions of our premier tournament. Our partnership with KONAMI reflects CAF’s dedication to innovation, global fan engagement, and creating new opportunities for African youth in both football and digital spaces.”

This partnership represents a major step forward in CAF’s digital transformation strategy, improving fan experiences and strengthening the organization’s long-term commitment to football development across Africa.

The TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 will be held from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.
