CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 Presented to East African Leaders

Dr. Patrice Motsepe, President of the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), awarded the prestigious CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award 2025 to three prominent African leaders: His Excellency Dr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya; Her Excellency Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania; and His Excellency Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda.

The awards were presented during a lavish ceremony held on November 19, 2025, at the Université Mohammed VI Polytechnique, a fitting backdrop for an event that celebrates innovation and collaboration in sports. The ceremony underscored the remarkable achievements in African football, especially following the successful hosting of the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 across these three nations.

The 2024 CHAN was hailed as a landmark success, earning accolades as the most successful edition in recent history. The CAF President’s Outstanding Achievement Award has a lineage of recognizing individuals whose visionary leadership has transformed the landscape of African football. Notable past recipients include Rwandan President Paul Kagame and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco, as well as Presidents Paul Biya of Cameroon and Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt.
