CAF Awards 2025: Mohamed Salah, Achraf Hakimi, and Victor Osimhen Lead Nominations for Men’s Player of the Year

In an exciting announcement from the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF), the nominees for the Men’s Player of the Year at the forthcoming CAF Awards 2025 have been revealed. The ceremony is set to take place in Rabat, Morocco, on 19 November 2025. The event will kick off at 19:00 local time (18:00 GMT) and is expected to draw attention from football enthusiasts across the continent and beyond.

This year’s shortlist for the prestigious Player of the Year award features three of Africa’s top talents: Mohamed Salah (Egypt/Liverpool), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco/Paris Saint-Germain), and Victor Osimhen (Nigeria/Galatasaray). Each nominee has displayed exceptional skill and consistency throughout the year, solidifying their status as key players for both club and country.

The CAF Awards 2025 will also include nominations across seven categories, highlighting not only individual brilliance but also collective excellence in African football. Alongside the Player of the Year award, the categories include Goalkeeper of the Year, Interclub Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, Young Player of the Year, National Team of the Year, and Club of the Year.
