Lusaka, Zambia: The Zambia national football team “Chipolopolo”, have ramped up its preparations for the pivotal FIFA World Cup qualifier against Morocco. The camp in Ndola has seen an influx of foreign-based players, highlighting the team’s commitment to securing a positive result in this crucial encounter.
Among the latest additions to the squad are Israeli-based players Kings Kangwa and Kennedy Musonda, who have arrived to bolster the team’s ranks.
They join established talents such as Lameck Banda and Fashion Sakala, both of whom are eager to make their mark in the upcoming match.
Skipper Lubambo Musonda has also reported to camp, although he sat out the training session at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Additionally, Scotland-based Miguel Chaiwa and Denmark’s Edward Chilufya are expected to join the squad later tonight, further enhancing the team’s depth as they gear up for the challenge.
However, not all news is positive, as Austria-based Kingstone Mutandwa has opted out of the Morocco assignment due to personal reasons.
The talented midfielder recently made a move from Cagliari to Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried, and his absence will be felt as the team aspires to build on their recent performances.
Chipolopolo will host Morocco at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on Monday 8th September 2025 in what promises to be an exhilarating clash in Group E of the World Cup qualifiers.
Ticket sales are already underway, with early bird tickets priced at K30. North and South entry tickets are set at K50, while tickets for the Eastern and Western stands, as well as VIP entries, are also available.
As the squad finalizes preparations, fans are eagerly anticipating a thrilling showdown against Morocco, hoping the Chipolopolo can secure vital points on the road to the World Cup.
