The world soccer governing body has arrived in Kenya for the historic TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) PAMOJA 2024 finals, scheduled for today, Saturday, August 30, 2024, at the iconic G Mii International Sports Centre in Kasarani.
Both FIFA President Gianni Infantino and his counterpart for Africa, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, were warmly welcomed by the President of the Kenya Football Federation, Mr. Hussein Mohamed. The Federation President expressed great pride in hosting such esteemed soccer dignitaries, marking a truly historic occasion for Kenya.
“The Football Kenya Federation is honored to welcome FIFA President Gianni Infantino, CAF President Dr. Patrice Motsepe, and football leaders from across the continent to Nairobi for the #CHAN2024 final,” stated the FKF on their official page.
“Kenya has captured the hearts of Africa and the world with our successful hosting of this tournament, and today we stand united as the continent gathers in our capital city,” the statement continued.
Kenya proudly co-hosts the CHAN2024 alongside Tanzania and Uganda, showcasing the remarkable spirit of collaboration among these three East African nations.

The finals, featuring Morocco and Madagascar, will take place at the Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani at 6:00 PM, with the closing ceremony commencing two hours earlier.
Among other dignitaries expected to attend are Madagascar’s President Andry Nirina Rajoelina, who will be graciously hosted by the Kenyan President, Dr. William Samoei Ruto.
