Wounded DR Congo Dominates Zambia with a 2-0 Victory!

In an eagerly contested match in the CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), DR Congo secured a solid 2-0 victory over Zambia, showcasing their attacking prowess and defensive strength.

Second half

The match sprang to life early in the second half. In the 51st minute, Ibrahim Matobo opened the scoring for Congo DR with a well-placed shot from the centre of the box, assisted by Jephté Kitambala. This goal galvanised the Congolese team and shifted the momentum in their favour.

Congo DR continued to press forward, and in the 71st minute, Horso Mwaku doubled their lead with a powerful left-footed strike from the centre of the box, skillfully assisted by Oscar Kabwit. With a 2-0 lead, Congo DR looked comfortable, expertly managing the game as Zambia struggled to find a response.

Zambia’s Timothy Sichalwe had a header attempt just over the bar, showcasing their desperation to claw back into the match.
